The laboratory of Translational Imaging in Oncology (LITO) is a mixed research unit (U1288) created on 1/1/2020 and supported by Inserm (=French NIH) and Institut Curie, the 1st cancer center in France. LITO includes about 40 researchers, physicists, engineers, MDs, PharmDs, and technologists and is organized in two research groups with complementary activities: the Biomarkers for Phenotype Imaging group and the Integrated Radiomics for Precision Medicine group.

Since 2026/1/1, the LITO laboratory has evolved and is now known as Imaging, Innovative Radiotherapy, and Systems Medicine Laboratory (Welcome - IRIS). This new identity reflects the broadening of its scientific mission and the strengthened integration of innovative approaches in artificial intelligence and radiomics, in support of precision medicine.
